AFSCME Strike Is Possible In Duluth

Duluth Mayor Don Ness says plans are in place to deal with a potential strike by city employees that are represented by AFSCME Local 66.  The union filed an intent to strike notice with the State Bureau of Mediation on Wednesday.  City officials say the contract offered to the 460 AFSCME workers was consistent with the plans that other city unions have accepted.  If no settlement is reached, a strike could begin as early as March 7th.
