The Ariel Lift Bridge, located in the Canal Park area of Duluth, MN.
A nearby lightning strike apparently caused some electrical problems with the Aerial Bridge in Duluth last evening. The bridge was stuck in the “up” position just after 5 PM and left motorists stranded on each side for over two hours. Crews replaced an electrical control panel and the bridge was able to resume normal operation around 7:20 PM.
